Britannia Village Hall, 65 Evelyn Road, London E16 1TU

Directions:  Located in Britannia Village, off North Woolwich Road.

By Tube & DLR:  The Jubilee Underground line & DLR are the quickest routes to Britannia Village Hall – with direct DLR from Stratford, Canning Town & West Ham Stations. A short walk from West Silvertown DLR – crossing over the North Woolwich Road, and walking directly into Britannia Village (5 minutes).  Or you can take a more scenic route from Royal Victoria Dock DLR, walking around the Dock to arrive (15 minutes).

Parking:  The Hall has a dedicated Car Park (accessible via Audley drive off Wesley Avenue) which is free to use for ‘Registered Users’ (if you have a confirmed booking, you will need to Register your Car and details with the Hall Office to Park during the Class).  New reasonably priced street parking introduced in June 2017 has made parking easier (see Evelyn Road).

Facilities: No dedicated changing facilities onsite. Baby Changing is in the Disabled Toilets. Buggies are welcome. No Cafe facilities available within the Hall.  There are shops and Cafes around Royal Victoria Dock which are a short walk.

 

 

 

Canning Town Community Neighbourhood Centre, 18 Rathbone Market, Barking Road, Canning Town, London, E16 1EH

Directions:  Located in Rathbone Market, close to Canning Town Post Office

By Tube: Canning Town Station is the closest underground, with buses also stopping opposite the Rathbone Market.  A short walk from Canning Town Tube Station.

Parking: Off street parking is available in surrounding roads (parking charges may apply) & Hallsville Quarter (presently offers 2 hours free parking). See Parking enforcement notices.

Facilities: No dedicated changing rooms. There are baby changing washrooms and buggy access. A waiting area with seats and tables inside. Shops where you can grab a coffee, cake, veg & a bite in local area.

 

 

 

The Docklands Settlements, 4 Saunders Ness Road, Isle of Dogs, E14 3PS

Directions: Located by the Greenwich Foot Tunnel North & Island Gardens Park.

By Tube & DLR:  Across the road from Island Gardens DLR station, a longer walk from Mudchute DLR station

Parking: Street parking bays which offer chargeable parking for up to 4 hours (at time of writing).

Facilities: Convenience shop located opposite Island Gardens DLR. No Cafe onsite.

 

 

 

 

Aloft London Excel, Royal Victoria Dock, One Eastern Gateway, Royal Albert Way, London E16 1FR

Directions:  Located next to the Excel Centre

By Tube & DLR:  The Jubilee underground line & DLR are the quickest routes – with direct DLR from Canning Town Tube. A short walk from Prince Regent DLR or slightly longer walk from Custom House for Excel DLR.

Parking: Aloft London Excel has a dedicated Car Park (accessed from the front of the hotel – Excel side). For Yogalime attendees there’s a special rate of £2/Class – attendees will need to pay in advance at Reception inside the hotel (Ground floor, beside the Grab & Go Cafe). If you’re coming by car, please give yourself plenty of time to locate the car park as it can be tricky to find. See parking enforcement notices.

Facilities: There are no changing facilities onsite and the Aloft London Excel do not give permission for attendees to change clothes in the toilets/public spaces in the hotel.  There’s a lovely restaurant called the Docksider (2nd Floor, open till midnight) and the Grab & Go Cafe (Ground Floor) where you can have some food or grab a drink if you’re early/after class. Aloft London Excel do not give permission for food & beverages purchased outside of the hotel to be consumed within the public spaces of the hotel.

 

Good Hotel, Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London, E16 1FA

Directions:  Located in Royal Victoria Dock next to the Emirates Cable Car.

By Tube & DLR:  The Jubilee Underground line & DLR are the quickest routes to Good Hotel London. A short walk from Royal Victoria Dock DLR (4 minutes) or longer walk from West Silvertown DLR (15 minutes – cutting through Britannia Village onto the Dock).  You can change at Canning Town Tube Station to catch the DLR.

Parking:  Off Street car parking is available in surrounding areas (Victoria Dock Road, Britannia Village, subject to availability and any parking restrictions – short walk).  There is no free parking on Western Gateway.  There is a paid for car park next to the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Facilities: Baby Changing facilities provided in toilet behind cafe area. Lovely ‘Living Room’ and ‘Roof Top Terrace’, where a variety of drinks, snacks and meals are available.  A perfect place to rest and refresh before or after Class.

 

Grassroots Children’s Centre, Memorial Park, Memorial Avenue, London, E15 3DB

Directions:  Short walk from West Ham tube station and West Ham DLR – from the stations walk straight down Memorial Park Avenue, Memorial Park is on the right.  Enter the park and follow the path into the park (you must go into the park to find the front of the centre).  The Grassroots centre is on the right.  Continue to follow the path to come to the front entrance of the centre. (Please note, from the car park you will see the back of the centre, the centre is covered by a grass hill to the rear so can be difficult to spot).

By Train: West Ham (Jubilee line) and Plaistow (District & Hammersmith & City lines) tube stations.  West Ham DLR.  Longer walk from Star Lane and Abbey Road DLR.

By Bus:  276

Facilities: There is a car park onsite, providing parking bays for visitors (this can get busy during the day).  There are bicycle racks and a covered ‘buggy’ park outside the Grassroots centre.  Lovely friendly Cafe at the centre and a beautiful park outside with much grassland and a gated children’s play area.

 

Selmo (Samuda) Community Centre (Club 55), 55 Stewart Street, Blackwall, London, E14 3JE

Directions:  Located on the Isle of Dogs, off Manchester Road, on the Samuda Estate, opposite St John’s Park.  At the entrance to Nisa Supermarket, walk up the stairs taking you into the Samuda Estate, the Selmo Community Centre will be on your right.

If you require ramp access, this is available close to Hedley House via Stewart Street.

Parking is available at the Asda supermarket car park close by.  There is a shortcut through the car park onto Glengall Grove.  From there proceed to Marshfield Street which leads you onto Manchester Road.

By Train:  Canary Wharf tube station (Jubilee line), CrossHarbour DLR and Island Gardens DLR.

By Bus: D7 or D3 bus routes stopping at Cubitt Town School or St John’s Park.
