Hope you had a fabulous Xmas and New Year Break ! We’re excited to return in 2020 with a new range of Pregnancy Yoga Classes in East London starting this week.

This year, we’re providing smaller group classes to aid your experience and learning and are pleased to offer 2 new additional classes, on different days, times and at distinct locations which will also provide greater options and ease travel to class.

Why should I join pregnancy yoga?

Keeping active in pregnancy is important. Pregnancy Yoga is very gentle stretching, strengthening and flowing movement asanas which help to promote body balance. This eases common ailments often experienced in pregnancy like back ache and also encourages balanced space within the body for baby to grow, supporting optimal foetal positioning. Pregnancy yoga is more than a physical practice, every movement is mindful and begins with the breath. Classes enhance calm and relaxation and focus on positivity and confidence in preparation for birth.

So, what’s on offer?

We have Pregnancy Yoga classes at Britannia Village Hall in E16 on Tuesday’s 7-8pm. The closest DLR is West Silvertown or a slightly longer walk (and more scenic) around Royal Victoria Dock. Please note that the lifts for the footbridge from the Excel Centre to Britannia Village are often out of order and it may be easier to walk around the dock, passing the Crystal and Wake up London en-route. If you drive, there’s also a dedicated car park on offer at the Hall and street parking.

Excited to offer Pregnancy Yoga at the Aloft London Excel, on Thursday’s 7.15-8.15pm. This is a lovely venue nestled just behind the Prince Regent DLR. The Aloft offers a dedicated car park with subsidised parking for Yogalime attendees and if you arrive early, there’s the Grab & Go Café on the 2nd floor for snacks and a warm drink.

From February, we have Pregnancy Yoga Classes in Canning Town, on Wednesday’s, 6.50-7.45pm, approximately a 5-minute walk from Canning Town Station. You may be familiar with the Rathbone Market (close to Percy Ingles and the Post Office) and classes will be in the Canning Town Community Centre which is situated around the market.

We provide yoga mats in all our classes, so you only need to bring yourself and I always recommend bringing along a bottle of water.

I look forward to sharing another year Pregnancy Yoga together. All our classes are booked in advance online, if you’d like more information please visit our Pregnancy Yoga page or drop us a line.

Happy New Year !

I attended Sky’s maternity yoga class throughout my pregnancy and it was great. I learnt some really useful techniques for birth, relaxation exercises and it felt great to keep moving and stretching. It also gave me the opportunity to meet other new mums to be. Sky has a lot of knowledge and really takes the time to share what she knows and the experiences of other mums who have been to her classes. I would recommend to anyone.’ Nadya, November 2019
