Birth Preparation Workshop

Join us at our Birth Preparation Workshop for pregnant women and their birth partners.  This Workshop is taught in a small group setting and is recommended to all our Pregnancy Yoga students. Research shows that women value and benefit from the presence of a support person during labour and childbirth – birth partner plays a valuable role.

In a warm and friendly environment, we talk about the physiological process of labour, helping you to know what to expect and empowering you both to understand and use effective techniques, to support you in the birth of baby.  You will also a receive a Handbook which accompanies the Workshop.

Our Workshop shares practical ways to help you manage the intensity of labour including breath, sound, rebozo, relaxation and massage practices.  There will be movement practice for an active birth with birth partner role play for support, pain relief and birth partner supported postures for labour & birth – please wear comfortable clothes (allowing you to move freely).
